Hockey teams make history in big games.

In just their second season in the French Trophée Loisir - a friendly hobby league with as many as 48 teams in the whole of France - the Puckers have the chance to make such history by being among just 4 teams that will make it straight to the National Finals in Meudon, close to Paris, on the weekend of May 21 next month. It would be the first time that a Non-French team would be competing for the Trophée.

One hurdle is left and it is half way taken: the Division Est final series against Epinal. The Puckers won the away game in what was a very tight game in Epinal by a score of 5-2. Only the 3 third period goals scored by Lutov, Vallée and Mekhaeel made the difference. Epinal stated that they were missing 3 key players.

As it is a two-game series, the overall combined score will determine who the winner is. Even though the Puckers control their own destiny on home ice, this series is far from over.

All this will set us up for a dogfight in the game this coming Friday, April 29 at 20:30, in Kockelscheuer, the last game of the season before the big Finals. Do not expect Epinal to go down without a fight. They will come prepared and will play a physical game (in a non-contact league).
